In this workshop participants will be provided with demonstrations and through discussion and practical application develop their knowledge and understanding of several powerful, easy-to-use apps that engage students and support the development of multimodal authoring for K-6 students.
After participating in this workshop teachers will be able to:
- Develop a storyline and script
- Use a storyboard to plan a project
- Learn how to use animation software to create an animated project
- Learn how to develop a TV news bulletin and Radio Show
Session 1 – Australian Curriculum & Planning a Project
What does multimodal literacy look like in the new Australian Curriculum? Learn how to plan for a succssful project using templates provided.
Session 2 – Storytelling Apps
In this session we will look at storytelling with Crazy Talk and Stop Motion desktop apps.
Session 3 – TV News Studio
Learn how to create your own TV news production with our LIVE view/Green Screen editing suite.
Session 4 – Radio Show
Create a radio show with Easi-Speak microphones and Audacity audio editing app.
Session 5 – Online creative digital literacy resources.
This session provides participants with a list of online resources that are appropriate for digital literacy tasks.
