Pro Bot is the latest in Logo technology. A turtle robot, cleverly disguised as a race car, Pro Bot offers students an enticing, engaging, and hands-on experience with Logo programming as well as robotic controls.

Suitable for Years 3-4
Maximum Participants: 32 Students
Duration: 2 Hours
Location Required: School Hall/Larger Classroom

ALL EQUIPMENT PROVIDED ON THE DAY!

In this workshop students will participate in several challenges that develop team work, co-operation and communication skills. Students will be divided into teams of 4 and each team will be provided with challenges that require programming the Pro Bot.

Pro Bot

PRO BOT WARM UP
In this challenge teams will move the Pro Bot around to different destinations. Students will learn how to enter numerical commands to move Pro Bot forward and backwards and to turn and go in different directions.

DRAW SOMETHING
This challenge requires teams to learn how to put a pen inside the Pro Bot and develop a program that will drive pro-bot around a mat at different angles so Pro Bot can write different shapes and objects onto the floor.

GRAND PRIX
In this challenge teams will be required to program their Pro Bot to complete the Grand Prix circuit. Students will use the skills developed in previous challenges to complete this task. The team with the quickest time will be declared the winner.
